ADULT KICK SCOOTERS – A WHOLE GUIDE

ADULT KICK SCOOTERS – A WHOLE GUIDE

There should be no restrictions on freedom. We’re introducing brand-new Reid kick scooters based on our bike experience. Our scooter collection allows people of all ages to enjoy their freedom on smaller wheels! We have focused on producing not just a great selection but also an elegant contemporary look that suits the modern-day rider, moving away from all the noise and flashy graphics of traditional
scooters. The Reid kick scooter collection includes Infant, Junior, Commuter,
and Stunt models, which cover all elements of riding.

I’m not in great shape. Especially since riding a scooter allows you to travel at a relaxed speed.

Unlike certain exercises that require you to train your bottom and legs to engage muscles, I discovered that kick-scooting relied on muscle memory that I already had. I believe it is a movement akin to stair climbing or lunging.

Kick scooters are great for short trips like going to the store or traveling to and from work that isn’t too far away. They can, however, be utilized for longer trips.

We were traveling roughly 50km (30miles) every day on our scooters when we did Kicking the States. We’d have to hurry for roughly 5-6 hours to cover this distance. On our busiest day, we covered 80 kilometers (50miles).

WHAT LEVEL OF FITNESS IS REQUIRED TO RIDE A KICK SCOOTER?

Legs (especially knees) and lower back were the places that became uncomfortable after a lot of kick scooting. These places would be sore after a long day of scooting. And my hands – heavy breaking needed a lot of effort if there was a lot of downhill.

The main flaw, in my opinion, is that all of the scooters I tried were too small for me. I’m 5’9″, so I’m on the tall side. Even though most adult kick-scooters are adjustable, I crouch a little on the highest level. While this isn’t ideal, you wouldn’t notice it for most short trips — for instance, if you were searching for an adult kick scooter for a 20-minute commute.

RIDING ADULT KICK SCOOTERS: PROS AND CONS:

Pros:

  • In most circumstances, you can scoot on the road or the pavement because they are not formally defined as a bike.
  • Going downhill is a lot of fun.
  • Riding them requires little talent; all you have to do is kick.
  • They’re small and light, making them simple to move and transport.

Cons:

  • They’re terrible going uphill (you have to get off and push), and you’re standing up on your feet, which is more exhausting than sitting on a bike.
  • They are slower than a bicycle and less adaptable to diverse terrains.
  • Only a few storage options are available.
  • If you’re over the age of 15, people will think you’re crazy if you own one.
